MTG Card Prices

Published October 14, Wargamer’s look at Secret Lair: Duality Distorted covers Wizards’ October 13 reveal: four classic Magic artists reworked their own famous compositions for entirely different cards. DiTerlizzi’s Mercadian Masques Brainstorm becomes Thoughtseize, Mark Poole’s Alpha Counterspell becomes Pyroblast, and Sandra Everingham’s Dark Ritual is recast as Desperate Ritual, while Phil Foglio’s Presence of the Master inspires Tribute to the World Tree. The four-card drop is a Chaos Vault release, meaning its arrival may be sudden and its warning system remains mostly decorative. Wargamer estimates the cards’ combined value around $35, with non-foil and foil versions listed at $29.99 and $39.99 respectively.
